1 Welcome to loopa
loopa is operated by Loopa Technologies Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. loopa is currently in early access, so features may change, break, or be removed.
2 Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use loopa. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harass other users, or behave in ways that harm the community.
3 Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create on loopa: saves, notes, loops, photos, comments. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute it within the app, only as needed to operate the service. For content you mark as public, you also grant us a licence to display it to other loopa users.
This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to retain it for legal reasons or to prevent abuse.
You’re responsible for the content you post. Don’t post content that:
- Infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Contains personal information about people who haven’t consented
- Is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors
- Impersonates another person or business
- Is spam, scams, or attempts to manipulate discovery rankings
We may remove content that violates these rules, restrict accounts that repeatedly post it, and report serious violations to law enforcement.
4 How you use loopa
Use loopa for its intended purpose. Don’t:
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the app at scale
- Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to access systems you’re not authorised to access
- Use bots or automated tools to interact with the service
- Resell access to loopa or use it to build a competing service
5 Blocking and reporting
You can block other users from Settings → Privacy. Blocked users won’t be able to see your profile, follow you, or interact with your content. You can report content or accounts that violate these terms. We review reports and take action where appropriate.
6 Place data
loopa shows information about places sourced from third-party providers, including Google. We don’t guarantee that opening hours, addresses, prices, or other details are accurate or up to date. Always check directly with the place before relying on it. We aren’t responsible for your experience at any place you visit through the app.
7 Service availability
We work to keep loopa running smoothly but can’t promise zero downtime. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may pause or end the service entirely. If we do, we’ll give reasonable notice and let you export your data where possible.
8 Early access
loopa is in early access. You should expect bugs, missing features, and occasional data loss during this period. We’ll do our best to avoid problems, but the app is provided as-is during early access and you use it at your own risk.
9 Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Interactions with other users or with places listed in the app
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to £100 or the amount you’ve paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
10 Termination
You can stop using loopa at any time by deleting your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we’re required to by law. On termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy policy.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use loopa after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers in the UK and EU may also bring claims in their country of residence.
